2-Week Pilot Training Experience
2-Week Pilot
Training
Experience.
Two weeks. One decision.
A genuine taste of pilot training — without enrolling in flight school. Ground school, psychology discovery, and an A320 Full Flight Simulator session — structured like real training, delivered by active airline captains.
The math
$1,500
Hangar 1 Aero · 2 weeks
- → Ground school — the same foundation flight school starts with
- → 1 hour in the A320 Full Flight Simulator — the same device used for type ratings
- → Honest guidance on which school fits you — from captains with no enrollment agenda
- → Clarity on your aptitude and readiness before you commit
$60,000+
Flight school · 18–24 months
You're going to spend this. The question is whether you spend it on the right school, at the right time, arriving prepared enough to pass the first time.
- · The school that fits your profile and budget
- · The timing that puts you in the best cohort
- · Arriving as the most prepared cadet in the batch
We're not an alternative to flight school — we're what happens before it. $1,500 to get the real feel of what $60,000 buys, understand your options clearly, and make the most important aviation decision of your life with people who have no reason to steer you wrong.
The program
Four modules.
Two weeks.
The same content flight school covers, taught upfront
Ground School — Syllabus & Regulations
We walk through the actual pilot training syllabus you'll encounter — PPL, CPL, Instrument Rating, and Multi-Engine — and the CASR regulations every Indonesian pilot operates under: Part 61 (personnel licensing), Part 91 (general operating rules), and Part 141 (pilot schools). Then we layer in the A320-specific prep for your Week 2 simulator session — aerodynamics, cockpit orientation, and emergency callouts. Real ground school content, at the pace of real ground school.
You enter flight school knowing the curriculum — and our simulator already a step ahead.

What It's Like to Be a Pilot
The training pipeline from ground school to first officer. The daily reality of airline life — the roster, the duty limits, the culture. What airlines are actually selecting for right now, from captains who sit on selection panels. The timeline, the costs at each stage, and the questions you need to ask before you commit.
You know what you're signing up for — before you sign.
Not a test. A guided self-discovery.
Psychology & Aptitude Discovery
Most people don't know how they think under pressure until the pressure is real. Our in-house specialist guides you through a structured aviation aptitude session — not to assess or grade you, but to give you clarity about your own patterns: how you process information, how you respond under load, and whether your natural profile aligns with what this career demands.
You know yourself better. That's the point.

A320 Full Flight Simulator — 1 Hour
Not a game. Not a desktop sim. The full FSTD-qualified Airbus A320 — full motion, real avionics, real procedures. The same device used for type rating and recurrency training by active commercial pilots. For one hour, the left seat is yours. Briefed before, guided during, debriefed after — by a pilot instructor who flew commercially this week.
You know what flying actually feels like.
How it works
Structured like real training.
Sessions are spaced across two weeks — not crammed into a weekend. The spacing mirrors how real pilots train: study, rest, return. Each session builds on the last. You arrive at the A320 FFS in Week 2 having already covered the ground.
Ground school: PPL · CPL · IR · MEL + CASR 61 / 91 / 141
3–4 sessions, spaced 2 days apart · pilot life briefing included
Psychology & Aptitude Discovery

A320 FFS Briefing + Simulator Session

Small cohort — maximum 4 participants per session
Who this is for
Three kinds of decisions.
6–18 months to enrollment
The student planning ahead
You've decided, or nearly decided. Flight school is in the plan. Two weeks gives you the head start that changes your first year — you arrive as the most prepared cadet in your batch.
Two weeks now. Years ahead.
Your teen wants to be a pilot
The parent making the call
You don't fully understand this world yet. Two weeks gives both of you an honest, structured introduction guided by real captains. You leave knowing whether the path is right — together.
Understand before you invest.
Serious about the decision
The career switcher
You're about to make a $60,000+ life decision. Two weeks at $1,500 is the due diligence that a decision this size deserves. No bias. No enrollment agenda. Just clarity.
The cheapest insurance in aviation.
Who delivers it
Pilots who fly.
Every one of them.
Active airline captains who sit on selection panels. An airline pilot instructor. A line pilot. And a decade inside pilot training management. Every perspective shaping the path you're about to take — from the cockpit, the classroom, and the operations room.

The outcome
After two weeks, you'll know.
Not guess. Not hope. Know — because you've done the ground school, sat in the left seat, and talked to people who are living this career. The decision you make after that is the right one.
- → Whether a pilot career genuinely fits your profile
- → How to think about flight school — which to choose, when to go, what to avoid
- → What airlines are selecting for — from captains who select
- → How you perform under the specific cognitive demands of a cockpit
- → What the A320 feels like from the left seat — not from a YouTube video
- → Whether you want to go further — and what that next step looks like
Before you ask
The honest answers.
Is this the same as flight school?
Is the simulator the real thing?
Why not just go directly to flight school?
Who is this for in terms of age?
