Your details, and what we do with them.
Hangar 1 Aero, in Jakarta Selatan, runs this site. We only ask for what we need to answer you or give you what you asked for, we never sell it, and you can ask us to show, correct or delete it at any time. This page explains how, in plain words. Last updated 18 October 2026.
What we collect, and why
Only what you type into a form, and only when you send it. Browsing the site and reading the Journal ask for nothing.
Simulator booking
What: Your name, email, phone (optional), the session you chose and anything you write in the notes.
Why: To hold and confirm your session and email you its status.
Programme enquiries
What: Your name, email, the programme you are interested in and your message.
Why: To answer you. Someone from our team may follow up about what you asked.
Readiness quiz
What: Your email and your quiz answers.
Why: To send you your result.
Can I become a pilot?
What: Your answers (such as age, height and English score). If you ask for the result by email, also your name, email and phone (optional).
Why: To show and send your result. When you tap "Ask a captain", we keep the answers without your name, so we can see what people ask about.
Does this training program meet the rules?
What: The hours you copy from a school's brochure, and the questions they produce. Your name, email and phone (optional) only if you ask us to email the questions.
Why: To check them and send you the questions. When you send, copy or ask a captain about the questions, we keep the hours and questions without your name, so we can see what people ask about.
Cost calculator
What: The schools and figures you enter, plus your name, email and phone (optional) if you save the comparison.
Why: To email you a private link to your comparison. We also count how often each school name is entered, without who entered it.
Flight school checklist
What: Your checklist answers, plus your name, email and phone (optional) when you save.
Why: To keep your checklists and email you private links to them.
We use your details only for these purposes. We don't send newsletters you didn't ask for, and we don't pass your details to flight schools or anyone else for their marketing. If you ask us to introduce you to a school, we share only what you agree to.
Who else sees it
- The simulator operator. For a booking: your name, email, phone and session, so the operator can hold the slot.
- Our email provider. To deliver the emails you asked for (results, links, booking status).
- Our hosting provider. The servers this site and its database run on.
- Google (Analytics, and Google Ads if we advertise). How the site is used: pages visited, roughly where from, and which forms were completed. Never your name, email or phone.
- Meta (the Meta Pixel, for Facebook and Instagram ads). The pages you visit here and which forms were completed, so our ads can reach people interested in flying and not show again to people who already enquired. Never your name, email or phone.
When you tap a WhatsApp link, the conversation happens on WhatsApp, under its own privacy policy.
Cookies and analytics
The site sets two small cookies that keep forms working and secure. Google Analytics sets its own cookies to count visits and see which pages lead to bookings and enquiries; if we advertise with Google, Google Ads uses the same measurement to see which ads work. The Meta Pixel does the same for Facebook and Instagram, and lets us show our ads to people who visited this site. You can block these in your browser settings, with Google's Analytics opt-out add-on, or in your Facebook and Instagram ad settings, and the site still works.
How long we keep it
As long as we need it for what you asked: a saved checklist or comparison stays available through its private link, and enquiries and bookings are kept so we can follow up. We delete enquiries and bookings no later than two years after our last contact with you, unless the law requires us to keep them longer, and anything at all, sooner, if you ask.
Your rights
Under Indonesia's Personal Data Protection Law (UU No. 27 Tahun 2022), you can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Email hi@hangar1aero.com from the address you used, and we will reply as soon as we can.
If you are under 18, please use the forms with a parent or guardian's agreement.
Keeping it safe
The site runs over an encrypted connection, saved checklists and comparisons open only through private links, and only our team can see enquiries. If something ever goes wrong with your data, we will tell you.
